      Frequently Asked Questions

What work environments will the Timberland PRO Switchback work boots work well in?
Medium duty work environments like manufacturing, warehousing and landscaping. Because they are waterproof with a waterproof membrane they are a good option when working in outdoor weather and work conditions where you are exposed to moisture.

Are Timberland PRO Switchback work boots CSA certified?
Yes. They are certified Grade 1 with a composite safety toe and plate. They are also ESR-rated (Electric Shock Resistant), which means the soles provide a secondary level of protection against electrical shock hazards.

What is the break-in period for work boots?
Work boots should fit well when you buy them. Your toes shouldn't be able to wiggle and not touch the toe cap. Your heel should sit snuggly but not too tight. Because of the  safety features (toe and plate) built into safety shoes and work boots, they don't loosen up like regular shoes or boots might. We recommend wearing them for a few hours at home before wearing them for a full day of work. After all, you wouldn't wear brand new shoes to go on an 8 hour hike!

Did you know that when required to wear protective footwear, you have options beyond traditional steel toe shoes or steel toe boots? Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are an excellent alternative. Composite toe safety shoes are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection.

      Never buy timberland again

This is the second time I bought timberland safety footwear in a year and these ones are the worse. Just over 2 months the stitching between the laces and composite toe just split open on right boot and the left was starting to rip as well. That is total garbage, like honestly this is what you get when you give third world countries to make our products instead of Americans and Canadians how pathetic
